Modern Glam Master Bedroom Makeover - Beauteeful Living

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked into my bedroom lately, just to look at all the details done so far in our bedroom. Can you believe that it’s already Week 5 of my participation in this fall’s One Room Challenge (ORC) already? If this is the first time you’re hearing about the ORC hosted by Calling It Home, please catch up with previous posts here: (Week 1 // Week 2 // Week 3 // Week 4)

Let’s get to this week’s progress report:

1) Closet POSSIBLE‘s Custom Armoire

I’m happy to report that our closet was installed last Friday and I’m SO pleased with the way it came out! I’m sharing big peeks today on the blog. I am  in complete “awe” at the sheer size of the armoire and how beautiful the raised panels look! I’m not sure if it’s normal but for the past few days, I find myself walking into my room just so I can stare at our new closet!

You’ll notice from photo below that our armoire has 6 main sections. The details of the texture-like wood grains are incredible. I wish you can see the panels in person! This is the “white chocolate” option (see all 29 color options here).

In the top center, there are 4 shelves. I’m not sure if you can tell from this photo but the shelves are quite deep. You can place 2 rows of folded clothes in each shelf.

The cabinets feel very sturdy and solid. At 24 inches deep, they also hold plenty of clothing.

Here’s the left side of the armoire where I will be hanging my clothes. The right side will be for my hubby. Yes, I can share a closet. 🙂

Needless to say, I’m so impressed and excited with how our custom armoire from Closet POSSIBLE turned out. I cannot wait to share photos of the full reveal next week!

2. Curtain Installation

Our new curtains were hung just a couple of days ago. Not only do they dress up our windows, they also block out light that peeks through the sides of our cellular shades. This should help us sleep in a little later.

Wait — who am I kidding? We have 2 kids. No such thing as sleeping in!

3. Gallery Wall

With our bedroom already painted (Sherwin Williams – Software), I just need to figure out where I want to install my photo ledges. Our gallery wall should be has to be done this weekend. 🙂 Gosh, I love that grey paint color.

4. Shopping Finds

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time shopping for decor pieces for our bedroom.

Here’s a mix of new mirrors with some vintage pieces. I think you can spot which ones are new. 🙂

A peek at my bedside table. It’s perfect for our small master bedroom.

I also bought fabric for some last minute DIY. Since I couldn’t find a leopard print pillow that I like, I’m making my own! I fell in love with this Nate Berkus fabric from Jo-Ann Stores. It’s the exact type of print I’m after!
