Spring is wonderful but this is the time of year that packs on more tasks to our already full list of household chores. For the past 2 weekends, we’ve stopped by Home Depot at least 4 times to pick up items for our spring projects. Here’s a preview of some of the things I’ll be sharing in the next few weeks:

1) Sprucing up flower beds.

Here are the girls attempting to push 20 bags of mulch we’ve purchased for our front and backyard. Surprisingly, they were actually able to move the cart a bit.

2) Planting new plants for pool area.

I have to keep these palm plants indoors for another few weeks until the last frost is over. They were on sale for $10 each (half off) so it’s worth having to “house-sit” them before planting season.

3) Repainting Decks (one off our dining room and one around our pool).

The girls insisted on helping us paint. I think you can guess how long that lasted.

Aside from working on spring improvement projects, I’m also excited to shop for some new outdoor items for the summer ahead. They will certainly be featured in an upcoming “Beauteeful Finds” post. Spring is a busy time of year for home improvements but working on them now ensures more time to enjoy them during the summer. And we all know too well how quickly the season escapes us!
