It’s week 3 of my guest participation in the One Room Challenge (ORC), hosted by Calling It Home, and it’s definitely the week when panic starts to set in! How are we are already halfway through this challenge? That’s part of the thrill and insanity of doing a makeover within a span of 6 short weeks. If this is the first time you’re hearing about the ORC, please catch up with my previous posts here: Week 1 // Week 2
I wish I had photos of my newly painted deck to show you. BUT….there’s none. Why? It didn’t happen. In fact, not much happened last week. You may recall from my last post that I was enjoying a staycation with my daughters while the hubby was working. The girls and I had a fantastic week so I’m definitely not feeling too bad about not accomplishing much on the ORC front.
Well, it’s a new week and I’m feeling a little bit more accomplished by stopping over at World Market and picking up some items that I’ve been drooling over on their website! After seeing some items that I love in the fushcia hue, I decided to incorporate that into my color scheme! Add that to my color palette of turquoise, coral, and indigo! 🙂
1. Antiqued zinc latika hanging lantern
2. Mini clear glass raya tabletop lantern
3. Wrapping paper (Can’t wait to show you how I plan to use this.)
4. Ikat velvet lumbar pillow
5. Glass dahlia hanging tealight lantern
The hanging lanterns were the main reasons why I made my trip to World Market in person. I wanted to see them to get the sense of their size. Glad I did because that visit helped me narrow down the lanterns I’ll be displaying! Two other items that I stumbled across that fit this makeover PERFECTLY consist of this colorful wrapping paper …
And…. this Ikat black and fushcia pillow! I don’t know where I’m putting this pillow but it’ll be used somewhere. 🙂
Before I go, here are some photos to refresh your memory on my “Tropical Outdoor Dining Oasis” makeover.
