For someone who takes countless photos a week, you’d think I would have been on the Instagram bandwagon a long time ago. Well, there’s a reason why last week was the first time I started using Beauteeful Living’s Instagram account. I’m embarrassed to say that the reason is a little silly. While I created a user profile before I launched this blog last March, I completely forgot the password and failed to “reset” it until recently.
You could say that if I really wanted to get content on Instagram, I would have had hit the “password reset” button a long time ago. Truth is, I didn’t think it was wise to add another social media outlet to maintain until BL’s Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts were more established. A year in, I’m happy to say that these platforms are growing steadily. That said, I think it’s time to have some fun and share the photo love on Instagram! 🙂
Here’s a picture I shared on Beauteeful Living’s Instagram page over the weekend. This was synced to post on BL’s Facebook page too. Sweet!
A few days into Instagram and I already know that this will likely be one of my favorite places to hang online. There are so many talented creatives out there! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve had to pick up my jaw from looking at the photos being shared. The greatest thing is…everyone can be a “professional photographer” on Instagram. 😉
If you’re on Instagram, I’d love to connect. You can find me here. I’d love to follow you back and see your world through pictures.
Before I end this post, I’d like to update you on what’s keeping me busy this week. A special girl in my life is turning 7 over the weekend. That would be my oldest daughter. 🙂 We’re having family and a couple of friends from back home (aka New York) over to celebrate. You can count on me doing some decorating around the house. 😉
Here’s a tiny peek at one of the decorative elements:
Until next week’s post, you can find me on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I hope you have a great week ahead! Thanks for stopping by.

I love that, that was your reason. I have a few accounts I want to upload to but realize I don’t know the password. Too many to keep straight! I joined Instagram maybe a month ago. I was overwhelmed with another social media “thing” to maintain, but like you am in love with it. There are ridiculously talented people. I have also enjoyed getting to peek into my readers lives. Some don’t have blogs or public pages for me to see. But, they have a Instgram, so I get to peek into their life, like they do mine 🙂 I like to mix some pretty, home decor, projects, and regular happenings in my home. A kind of behind the scenes sort of thing.
I love that you’re able to get snippets of your reader’s lives through Instagram, Emily! “Behind the scenes” type of things shared is definitely a big plus that Instagram provides. Just photos and a caption. Easy but still insightful. 🙂
I love those paper flowers you’re making! I can’t wait to see more 🙂
Thanks, Shannon!
I too didn’t jump on the Instagram bandwagon immediately and now that I am on… for more than a year now… I can honestly say I’m in love! ha! It is such a unique platform, no spam, no stories, just pretty pictures and a small caption… perfect for explaining life sometimes!
I get addicted to instagram! Love the photos! Thanks for sharing!
Instagram is very addictive! I love getting glimpses into the everyday lives of other moms!
I love love love instagram…pretty sure you’re going to be addicted soon

Beautiful photos. I really love the flowers, and don’t worry, I’m not big on Instagram either …
Thanks, Carmen. Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? 🙂
