It’s Week 5 of my guest participation in the One Room Challenge (ORC), hosted by Calling It Home and I’m pretty much at the home stretch! In case this is the first time you’re hearing about the ORC, please catch up on these previous posts here: Week 1 // Week 2 // Week 3 // Week 4
This week’s update is chiefly about all the lovely flowers and tropical plants I recently picked up from A & M Garden Center. Since becoming a homeowner in 2005, I have been visiting A&M Garden Center for my garden needs. This is why I’m especially thrilled to partner with them in this spring edition of the One Room Challenge! You’ll see in these photos why it’s my one-stop shop for all of my garden needs. Also, supporting local businesses is very important to me. It’s why I always get my items from nurseries before any big box stores in the area. Okay, let me show you my shopping treasures for the week!
1. Flowering Vincas
Every year I get these flowering vincas for the planters in my patio deck. We get FULL sun ALL summer long in our backyard. Thanks to the suggestion of one of A&M Gardens’ knowledgeable staff years ago, I have been buying this annual plant every year!
2. Vinca Vine and Coleus Plant
I will be pairing the coleus plants (red leaves) with the vinca vines in planters. These planters will appear in the shadier parts of our yard.
3. Dracena Plant (red spikes) and Alocasia Plant
These plants are perfect for the tropical feel that I’m going after!
Here are some SNEAK PEEKS!

We opened our pool last week. You can see it peeking through in below photo. 🙂
Our 4-person dining set from Wayfair arrived yesterday! Here’s a peek at one of the wicker armchairs and throw pillows. Looks like Roxie approves this set! 😀

String lights are finally hung!
Oh… here are some pictures of me and my little loves on a recent shopping trip to World Market. As you can see in photo, we picked up another outdoor area rug!
Just 1 more week left until the final reveal! Here’s a refresher of my inspirational photos. Let’s see if I even come close to these photos! 😉
