Somehow we’re already into Week 4 of the One Room Challenge (ORC). Can’t believe in just 2 weeks, the big room reveal will be here! If this is the first time you’re hearing about the ORC hosted by Calling It Home, you can catch up with previous posts here: (Week 1 // Week 2 // Week 3)
Three weeks ago, we started with an “oh so blah” master bedroom.
I had my goal set to create a “Modern Glam Master Bedroom.” You may recall my 2 top “Inspiration Rooms” below:

This Week’s Progress
1) Closet POSSIBLE Armoire Install Update
The materials have arrived but new install date has been moved to this Friday. Next week, I should have a mini-preview of everything all installed. Can’t wait!
Take a look at the gorgeous details of the vertical panels below. Notice the textured grain lines. LOVE! This is the “white chocolate” option. Closet POSSIBLE has 29 color options which can be viewed here.
Here’s the handle pull we ordered for our cabinets. There’s a total of 4 cabinets in our closet armoire.
We chose this square brushed nickel knob for our armoire doors. Simple and classic.
2) Missing Wood Boards Fixed
Since we removed the walls from our old closet, we were left with this empty spot where the drywall use to be. Fortunately, my hubby was able to cut some wood from the back of the closet and transfer them to the missing sections.
Hubby did a great job because you’d never know where the missing spots used to be!
3) Headboard Upholstery Project
Over the weekend, I upholstered our headboard. Yay! I can’t tell you how much better I feel about completing this room now that my headboard is finally upholstered.
I will share a full tutorial in a future post. 🙂
Yep, the process involved stapling some foam into the old headboard.
I wanted the upholstered headboard to be streamlined-looking. Nothing busy but still showing some texture. Isn’t this linen-looking fabric pretty?
The heather grey color of the fabric complements well against our dark walls. (Paint: Sherwin Williams – Software)
Sneak preview of my blush colored mohair pillows. They are SO soft! Trust me, there will be more pillows in the final reveal. 😉
More Sneak Peeks …..
Our white curtain panels. Love the damask pattern.
Canvas art with gold and black lettering. This goes well with the “modern glam” theme.
Another canvas art print. Love..love..love this! This is actually part of a trio pack. Can’t wait to show you the full effect once hung on our wall!
We are almost at the home stretch, my friends! At this point, I think I’m more excited than nervous since things are starting to come together. Catch you back next week for another makeover progress report. In the meantime, you can also visit my Instagram and Facebook feeds for additional content. Subscribing below will ensure that blog posts are delivered to your inbox.
Special thanks to Closet POSSIBLE and my local Sherwin Williams‘ store for their sponsorship of this challenge!
