Despite taking a break from blogging for much of this year, I’m honored that subscription continues to grow on Beauteeful Living. A big welcome to you lovely readers who recently joined this Home Decor and Lifestyle blog. I’d like to also extend a warm virtual hug to my longstanding readers for your continued readership! Beauteeful Living has always centered around the home, family, and finding joy in the little things in life.
I’m a firm believer that content can remain evergreen and stand the test of time just like certain decorating elements. While trends may come and go, I believe feather details are one of those things during the holidays that remain classic! I love feather details so much that this year I decided it would be the theme in my Christmas decor! I hope you enjoy my “Feather Detailed” Christmas Home Tour today! We all need a little magic of the holiday season to brighten up this challenging year.
Here’s the full frontal view of our “Wanna-be” flocked tree.
Like the wintry look of flocked trees but not the mess that they bring? You should consider adding white feather boas to be used as garland on your tree! I used 5 feathered boas to wrap around our Pre-lit tree. Each boa was 6 feet long.
I just LOVE the way our Christmas tree looks in our mirror’s reflection.
At 7 foot 5 inches, our pre-lit tree is the perfect height for our 8 feet ceilings.
Nothing beats the night time ambiance from the Christmas tree when the lights are on! Hmm, maybe we should keep our trees up until February??
Of course I say that now…come January, I’ll be itching to get back some space in my living room! 😀
By the way, it wouldn’t be 2020 if our elf didn’t show up wearing a face mask!!
I made it myself with one of those blue disposable face masks. Besides the mask, all you’ll need for this DIY would be scissors, string, and a glue gun.
Here’s more of the feather details in our home.
By the stairs leading to our bedrooms, I added white feathers to our pre-lit Christmas wreath. I love how just adding some feather details makes the wreath look so much more festive and glam.
How pretty are these feather picks? Stick a few into your wreath and you’ll have a whole new look.
Love it when evening comes around…

By the way, there’s MORE Christmas and feathery details coming up on the blog. Here’s a peek at one of my newest nutcrackers from my “atypical nutcracker collection!”
It’s Furry…It’s Pink…It’s Glittery…It’s Glam… It’s ALL things that I absolutely LOVE 🙂
Thanks for reading today’s post. I hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and sane as we all ride out these uncertain times. Let’s take care of ourselves and one another. Be kind and stay positive for better days ahead!

Never thought of using feather boas but it makes total sense. We’ve just been using ribbons the past couple years! Will probably switch it up next year. Love this look!
Thanks, Helen! I love the look of ribbons on trees as well 🙂
I love the look of your tree! Really like all the types of ornaments that you use. That masked elf is too funny! I agree that the white feathers really give the tree a flocked look. Great job!
Thanks so much, Jess! It was a last minute decision to add a mask on the elf! Happy holidays!
