Today, I’m excited to join some blogger friends of mine in a “Spring Mantel Blog Hop,” organized by the lovely Amy from My Life From Home. It may not feel like spring with the cold temperatures lately but today’s post and blog hop should get you thinking about warmer days ahead.
Whenever I switch out seasonal home decor, I start with the sideboard/buffet table located between our living room and dining room. In today’s post, I’ll break down the various elements that help make our spring mantel complete! You’ll see why I called this my “flowers galore” mantel. 😀
1. Magnolia Canvas Art
I love magnolia flowers so when I saw this canvas painting, I knew that I’d have to find space in our home for it. Luckily, it was the perfect size to go above our sideboard table.
2. Silk Flowers on Wall
I thought it would be pretty to add some silk flowers on our actual wall. After removing the flower buds from the plastic stems, I stuck them to the wall using removable glue dots! These faux blooms definitely add more interest to my “flowers galore” mantel. 🙂
3. Roses in Vase
These ivory-colored silk roses look so realistic. Guess what? That vase is actually an empty Patron tequila bottle.
4. Mixing Faux Flowers with Real Plants
Can you guess that everything in the tall vase is faux while the little green plant on the right is real? It’s always a good idea to throw in some real greenery in between faux elements.
5. Flowers in Rustic Planter Box
Recently, I shared my “Lucky Spring Flower Centerpiece” project in THIS POST. I made a few small modifications in below photo by adding some violets, a succulent, and some fairy lights!
Look how pretty the planter looks with the fairy lights turned on.
6. Framed Calligraphy Art
If you’ve been following along my Instagram page, you probably notice that I love modern calligraphy. I wrote this “You are my sunshine” statement recently for our daughter who just turned 9 years old last week. 🙂
7. Spring Garland
Of course, I had to add this adorable garland that I purchased from Paper Source a couple of years ago. I decided that “Yay Spring” would be the perfect statement for our mantel. It’s how I always feel when spring rolls around.
And there you have it … Our Spring Mantel.
