Valentine’s Day has been on my mind for a couple of weeks now. Fortunately, the day will finally be here this Saturday. No more having to say to my 4 year-old, “no babe, today’s not the day.” Lauren and her big sis, Ellie have been eagerly waiting for Valentine’s Day ever since I put up decorations in our living room. On the blog today, I’m excited to share with you guys a simple Valentine’s Day table display from our home:
Wall Display
Nothing screams out “celebration” like a pennant banner. I found this at Target during a recent shopping trip.Β Although it was cute already with the red and white hearts painted on the burlap, I thought it needed a little something. That little something happened to be words. I stenciled “BE MINE” onto construction paper and had each letter cut out. Looks sweet below a red paper pom pom!
Table Accessories
It’s always a good idea to re-purpose existing accessories in your home whenever possible. Not only do you save money from having to purchase new items, you lessen the need to add more “stuff” to your house. We all know how easily “stuff” becomesΒ junk clutter. In the gold, chevron picture frame below, I swapped out a picture I had and added Valentine’s themed felt stickers to some scrap-booking paper.
TheΒ “M” initial block is the only new item I purchased out of the accessories below. Β I purchased it from a recent trip to T.J. Maxx.
I love the box sign (a gift from my husband) proclaiming:
“The most wonderful thing I chose to do was share my life & heart with you.”
Since it’s a small sign, I decided to give it more height by placing it on top of a pink present box.
Here’s the whole display:

Although our table looks pretty complete to me, I am saving some space for little gift bags and the paper fortune cookiesΒ I put together for our kids. Oh yes, I also have to save a little space for my other love…my husband. π
