Around Thanksgiving is typically the time when most of us start to transition our fall decor with holiday winter decor. I’ve seen homes in my town completely decorated with outdoor Christmas lights already! You too, right? On the blog today, I’m not focusing on outdoor decor. Instead, it’s all about holiday indoor decorating with Beauteeful Living‘s recommendations on the 5 Christmas Decorating Essentials! [Today’s post contains affiliate links. Essential No. 1 – The Pre-lit Christmas Tree
One of my most popular posts this time of year is this –> 5 Tips on Buying Pre-Lit Christmas Trees. Pre-lit Christmas trees have come a long way through the years, it’s no wonder why more and more people are choosing this option over using real trees. Here are 2 of my top picks available online:
Tree #1 – National Tree Dunhill Fir Tree with 700 Dual LED lights
This tree has the dual LED lights that I like (clear warm lights plus colored lights). The foot switch controls 9 different light colors and actions. Visit LINK HERE for pricing and additional product information.
Tree #2 – Oasis Craft Pre-lit Snowing Aspen Spruce Christmas Tree
The flocked tree look is extremely popular these days. I love the fact that this tree isn’t fully flocked…just a light dusting on the tips. Visit LINK HERE for more info.
Essential No. 2 – Christmas Tree Skirt
Every Christmas tree needs a cozy tree skirt to tie in the holiday look. Here are 2 of my favorites this season:
Tree Skirt # 1 – White Faux Fur Tree Skirt by Littlegrass
I love how this tree skirt comes in 4 sizes, ranging from 30 inches to 60 inches. I’d recommend choosing a larger skirt if your space allows. My dog Roxie would probably be snoozing all day on this tree skirt! Visit LINK HERE for pricing and additional product information.
Tree Skirt # 2 – Grey and White Tree Skirt with Snowflakes by S-Deal
I love the simplicity of this tree skirt. Who wouldn’t love a cute snowflake motif? Visit LINK HERE for additional product info.

I have yet to get a pre-lit tree! There’s just something about making the hubby string the lights on the tree every year that makes Christmas decorating so satisfying.
I loved your ideas. In fact, the furry tree skirt is right up my alley and now I need one.
These are great tips. I would love to get a pre lit tree but I would have to find an amazing deal on one. There is nothing wrong with our current tree so I don’t have any reason to replace it.
So festive and such gorgeous designs. I’m loving all the different stocking stuffers and garland. This is getting me excited for Christmas!!
I miss having a fireplace in my house. While it isn’t necessary, I love it as a focal point and for decorating purposes. We got our tree up but haven’t decorated it yet.
What some lovely ideas – I like the idea of a prelit tree as I am awful at putting on lights.
Those are essentials indeed and we have them all. Our wreath is not pre-lit, though, only the Christmas tree. Would love to have that cedar wreath. So pretty!
I can’t wait for December to start the Christmas decoration in our house. Thanks for these awesome tips!
Wow! Thank you for sharing this list of 5 Christmas decorating essentials. I’m really enjoying decorating for Christmas and this list made me remember everything.
I love your list of Christmas decorating essentials. This is the perfect list for me, as I plan our holiday decor!
I love your ideas. We do need a wreath. I’ve been wanting to get one for the door for years but I always say I really don’t NEED one.
Pre-lit Christmas trees are the best. I love not having to untangle all those strings of lights. I like those wreaths too. They’re lovely.
These decorations are really pretty. I like the stockings. The look old fashioned.
You have so many wonderful, clean, classic Christmas suggestions here! I would love a faux fur white tree skirt. Unfortunately, my boxers think the tree skirt is new bedding and would muck it up in no time.
Haha, I hear you about your boxers treating that tree skirt like new bedding! My Roxie would do the same too 🙂
Those wreaths! We need to replace the old one we put up on our front door. Loving the stockings too.
Thanks, Ann! Those wreaths were some of my favorites as well.
