Spa Inspired Bathroom Makeover - Beauteeful Living

Today’s the big reveal of my Spa-Inspired Guest Bathroom Makeover and I’m so excited to share this completed space with you all! Thank you to many of you lovely readers for your sweet and encouraging comments throughout this 6 week process. Some of you who know me, have commented about how much you enjoy these home makeovers on my blog. Please know how much it means to me that you’re following along and are as excited as I am when reveal day arrives!

This guest bath makeover is a perfect example of the phase that our home is currently in — “the refinement” phase. Since purchasing our house in 2005, every key area in our home has been renovated. This is why some wonder why I’m updating our guest bath when it was already renovated 7 years ago. We like to throw money away. Well, we’ve kept everything that worked for us in this bathroom and changed whatever did not. The results (relating to function and aesthetics) are quite dramatic! Let’s look at the “Before” shots.

The “After” Photos

.TOILET AREA
Let’s start the tour with the first area that your eyes land. The toilet area. I went into detail last week about why this makeover all started because of the need for a better toilet. Well, based on the feedback and comments, I was definitely not the only person impressed by this amazing toilet and bidet seat from American Standard!

I love how our new wall cabinet keeps toiletries organized and out of sight. I had the original handles replaced with chrome ones I purchased from my local home improvement store.

Beyond our wildest dreams.

That’s the statement I’d use to describe these years of creating a family and home with my husband. 🙂 Good things come from patience, determination, and dedicated hearts. Rome wasn’t built in one day. So shouldn’t our homes! Enjoy the process and not just the end results.

Did you know that soap can be used as decor? These packaged ones are perfect for overnight guests.

These fragrant lotions bring the scent and feeling of being at a spa!

Love how these lotion tubes look on top of our new toilet.

I created some printable art for the amusement of our guests.

Don’t you love a bathroom with a sense of humor? 🙂

I have a thing for lanterns and this hanging version is perfect for my philodendron plant.

I love making embellishments on decor. This wood-carved wall frame was purchased without all the floral accents. Let’s say I added some “Beauteeful” accents to this wall art and I’m loving it!

Whenever I can, I try to create artwork for my room makeovers. I love quotes and wall signs so I decided to create something our guests would appreciate.

“You look gorgeous, darlin’.” Compliments are always a good thing, right? 🙂
.

PEONIES. Need I say more? The bright blooms are gorgeous and our guest bath smells incredible right now!

Somehow I managed to find the perfect sized orchid for our vanity counters. Love the vase as much as I love the actual orchid.

What’s a spa-themed guest bath without a bunch of rolled up white towels?

Can I tell you how much I still love our bathroom floor tiles? We purchased them from a tile specialty shop when we first renovated our bathroom 7 years ago.

This framed art print suits this space, adding just the right amount of color to our gray walls.

Look who’s paying a visit to our shower?

It’s Roxie, our 14 year old cockapoo who still looks like a puppy! She can finally take showers in our guest bathroom now that we have a handheld shower head.

Off Topic: Why are pets so photogenic? Do they ever take a bad photo? I have yet to see one!

Oh, look who’s already “singing in the shower!” 😀
