Remember my recent post about repainting our living area a different color? Well, before I can get to the main living space in our home, I have to address the hallway situation by our bedroom upstairs. Unless you’ve been inside my house, chances are you’ve never seen my bedroom hallway. There’s really nothing to this hallway but since it’s being shared for the first time on Beauteeful Living, I’m a little excited about it. 🙂
With the walls of this house running practically into every area of the house, I can’t repaint our living room area without painting the walls of our upstairs hallway. Let’s let the photos do the explaining.
Walking upstairs from our living room, this is the narrow hallway that you’ll see.
There are 4 door openings in this top level of our house. Three of these rooms are bedrooms with the fourth room being a bathroom.
We generally keep our bedroom doors open during the day and only close them when we sleep at night. Except for a few items, this hallway area is pretty bare.
The items I plan to keep in my hallway include that full length mirror, preserved flowers from our wedding (in frames), and the jewelry armoire that my Mother-In-Law gave to me. I’d like to repaint that jewelry armoire a different shade one of these days.
Here’s another side of the hallway…the view when we walk downstairs to our living area.
Do you see what I mean about the walls blending from the upstairs to downstairs? I can’t just paint the living room without also painting the upstairs hallway.
I’ve been searching online for some inspirational photos but the only thing I know for certain is the wall color. That’s because I painted the hallways last week! The paint color I chose is called Gravity by Valspar.
Given the space constraints, below are 2 inspirational photos I found online that may work for our hallway.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing some ideas I have in mind for our hallway makeover. I’d like to get this area done within the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to sharing the “after” photos with you all very soon!

love the navy hallway it is so striking, more storage is always good
I like #2 better because you will be utilizing the space instead of just a decorative shelf? Can’t wait to see the end result!!
Thanks, Angela! I agree with you. I’m planning this space to not only be decorative but to also add extra storage. Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day with the family! Xoxo
