If you haven’t started decorating for Halloween yet, don’t fret because in today’s post, you’ll see how simple it is to decorate focal points in your home. With my decor preference being on the modern contemporary side, it’s fitting that I was all over Party City‘s “Modern Halloween” collection (link here).
All supplies featured in today’s post can be found at Party City online or in stores. I’m thrilled to again partner with Party City on another party event. You can check out my previous post here. Let’s get started on my 2016 Halloween Decor Tour!
Fireplace Mantel
This garland with the adorable 3D paper fan detail was a “must-have” for me. It’s one of the cutest garlands I’ve seen this season.
When I saw this sparkly spooky house lantern, I knew the perfect spot for it — our fireplace mantel. I love that the lights turn red, blue, green, and even purple!
Adding streamers and latex balloons really gives our mantel more of a party-centric look!
Dining Area
Decorating our dining area was so easy this year because the Modern Halloween line had everything I wanted for a cohesive and kid-friendly tablescape I was after. This is how we’re setting our table this Halloween. 🙂
You can always count on big helium balloons to draw up interest.
Lately, I’ve been filling party balloons with Party City‘s disposable helium tanks. The process was so much easier than I thought. I can inflate the party balloons at the comfort of my home on the day of a party without having to rush to the party store.
Isn’t this Shot Glass Holder super cute? The kids will love finding sliced strawberries in these little shot glasses. For only $5.99, this holder is a steal!
No tablescape is complete without the proper table cover and matching tableware products. Visit the link HERE for all the supplies shown.
Napkins and cutlery items can be placed in a matching cup. 🙂
Front Yard
This year, we added orange and purple LED string lights to our tree out front. Four strands of LED lights from Party City was what we needed to cover the entire tree. I love walking out to our front yard at night to take a peek at those lights all lit up. 🙂
Hanging Decor on Ceiling
Paper lanterns are among my favorite decor items for parties. The print on these paper lanterns is so stylish! Love this trio pack.

I really like the idea of decorating outdoors with lights. I wish we could have lit up houses year round! 😉 Loving all the orange and black. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so I like to use this month to decorate in a special way.
Wow! That is so festive. I love it! And I love how creative you were able to get too. I’ll have to give these ideas a try before the holiday starts!
Now this is my kind of Halloween decorations! I love to decorate but I also like to keep with my aesthetic and you did just that, with colors that compliment the rest of the house.
I love your tablescape so much. That tree stand you have the fruit cups on its awesome! And I really like the Chinese Lanterns, too. We just decorated the outside of our home but I think I need to go to the store and pick up some more decorations!! We LOVE Halloween so much. And this year we have a lot of kids in our neighborhood for trick or treating.
I love that table setting with that tablecloth. Halloween is my favorite holiday!
I am so behind in getting out my fall decorations this year. Normally I start on September 1st and here we are already into October and I barely have anything out. I love these ideas and they’ve definitely helped me to get my motivation!
I love this look! Modern and fun. We havent decorated yet, not sure we will do much as we have two vacations planned in October. Busy busy! Great ideas though!! Thank you for sharing.
These are super cool Halloween decorations and I love how they give just enough decoration without being overwhelming. I really love the lights outside. We are going to be doing that our bushes this year. It also helps to light it up for the Trick R Treaters.
Thanks, Gwen! I normally don’t put string lights for Halloween but seeing how adorable they look on that tree, I’ll be doing that every year now. Thanks for commenting.
These are fantastic decorations and provide the perfect amount of Halloween decor. I really like the lights outside and think I am going to to that to my bushes outside. My daughter has laid claim to most of my decorations so I might need to buy more.
Your decor is so cute. I love the whimsy of the characters on your mantle. That cupcake stand on the table is adorable and the table setting is really nice. Love it all! I also like the way you colored Party City’s name in your post!
These are amazing decorations! I love how you tied it all together! There is the perfect mesh of spooky and cute!
Thanks so much, Jennifer! It was fun putting this together :).
