Today’s the day of Beauteeful Living’s Outdoor Patio Tour as part of the Summer Garden Tour and Outdoor Spaces Blog Hop! I’d like to thank my lovely friend Tara from Lehman Lane for hosting this week-long tour. In last week’s post, I shared a preview of our new in-ground pool. I’m so glad I can finally share photos of our completed pool along with some of my favorite parts of our backyard!
I will keep the writing brief as I know this will be a photo-heavy post.
Our New In-ground Pool
When you enter the yard, our pool will likely be the first thing you notice. I received a number of comments from readers following last week’s post that they too were considering adding a pool to their home. Since I’ve documented the entire pool installation process, it is my plan to create an e-book on this topic. Hopefully, I get to it before end of summer. I’ll keep you all posted. 🙂
Here is a full view of our new fiberglass pool. This free-form shaped pool is 14 feet by 30 feet in size. I highly suggest a fiberglass pool over other options available. Although more costly than a vinyl pool, after weighing in all the benefits, my husband and I knew that a fiberglass pool was most suitable for our backyard.
I love the sound of water cascading from the slide and waterfall area!
As soon as I saw this yard flag, I knew I had to have it in our backyard. It’s just the tropical touch that we needed. 🙂
Dining Area off Kitchen
We have a large wooden deck off our kitchen. As soon as you walk through our sliding doors, you will see this outdoor dining area. We used to have a rectangular table that seated 6 – 8 in this area. Since installing our new pool, we decided to move the bigger table downstairs, closer to the pool.
The photo below shows the bistro set that I purchased over 8 years ago. It’s still in great condition! This area is the perfect breakfast spot for my family of four. I love the view of our pool while sitting here and enjoying my meal. 🙂
My family and I practically live outdoors during the summer months.
Patio Conversation Area
This patio conversation area is one of my favorite spots in our backyard. More about this area in an upcoming post! I’m doing a summer home tour next week. 🙂
Loving these outdoor pillows I recently purchased to complement our new patio furniture set.
I love “dressing up” the conversation area with colorful accents and natural greenery.
Night time View of Backyard
As I wrap up my Outdoor Patio Tour, I’d like to leave you with a nighttime view of our backyard. The LED lights from our pool are among my favorite features of our new pool.
I’m so thrilled with the results of all the changes we’ve made to our backyard in the 11 years we’ve lived here. Totally worth the effort and money spent! It’s a “backyard retreat” that my family and I will enjoy for years to come.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this tour. Love it? Please PIN and share this post. Thanks a bunch!

Have a question or comment about my outdoor tour, I’d love to hear it! Thanks for reading. Xoxo, Tee.
Your backyard is so dreamy, Tee! It has a resort-like feel. I love the view from the higher patio area looking down towards your gorgeous new pool. The waterfall and LED lights are great touches! I’m sure you and your family are enjoying many summer days/nights out there. 🙂
I love outdoor spaces! It’s a must have as I look to buy my own home. Any space that comfortably moves from indoor to out is what I would really like. I can totally see some fun summers relaxing by that pool with a nice cold drink in hand
Absolutely gorgeous, Tee!! Your new pool is beautiful, and I love the soft glow of all the lights at night!
I’ve seen your post before about how you finished the pool area — and now! Everything’s finished! It looks amazing. Please let me have your patio. Thank you 😛
Your yard is perfect!! I want that pool! And what a pretty way to incorporate the slide. Love your outdoor couch and pillows, too. I’d be out there all the time!
Your backyard is beautiful! How lucky to have a new pool…we know you’ll be using that a lot this summer. Your seating area is so pretty too!
Sounds like you and your family will get many years of enjoyment in your beautiful and well planned pool and patio area!
This is gorgeous!! I saw your preview and was definitely intrigued. Your backyard is definitely an oasis. We have a large screened in porch and deck but a pool is our next project. We hope to have it in for next summer. This is exactly the style (free form) we have been thinking about. Why do you suggest fiberglass over vinyl. What are the benefits? I would love a bit of insight to help with my planning…
Hi Tiffany, thanks for your comment! Fiberglass pools require less maintenance (less chances for algae to grow) and do not require to having liners replaced ever. The installation of the pool takes far less time than a concrete or vinyl pool. Good luck on the pool planning. I hope you get it by next summer too!
What a beautiful backyard! I especially love that slide…it looks like it should be in a magazine! Great lighting too!
What a gorgeous and peaceful space! We practically live outside in the summer too and would love a space like this! I am totally jealous, but also grateful for what we have.
Wow-this is SO beautiful! I’m sure your family will get so much enjoyment from that amazing pool! Gorgeous!
Your outdoor space is an oasis for sure! I don’t know that I would ever go inside. What a beautiful and functional addition! I love how you installed the slide, with the rocks and the waterfall.
Your pool and backyard is absolutely beautiful Tee! What an amazing space. Love all the seating areas you created around it especially that breakfast spot on the deck over the pool. It looks just stunning at night. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!!! I am looking forward to that e-book on pools. I am still trying to talk Jason into one 🙂
I am so jealous of your backyard. In Colorado it is not practical to have swimming pool but man your backyard and that pool are so beautiful
Aaaah! So awesome! I want to come swim in your pool! And your new patio furniture is beautiful, too. 🙂
Love the pool and the seating area~ can’t wait to visit and relax there! 😉 no need for expensive vacations when we can just visit you! Hehe
That’s right — our place can be your home away from home vacation spot. You guys are welcome anytime!
I am having total pool envy over here! Oh gosh, the waterfall and slide! LOVE it!

Gorgeous… I would never leave… Everything is fabulous..
I can totally see why you spend so much of your time outdoors during the summer!!! Your backyard and new pool look super relaxing and gorgeous!
Your backyard looks fantastic! It looks perfect for summer fun. Congrats!
SUCH a beautful yard! Love your cozy seating area and am slightly jealous of that fabulous pool! 😉 It looks so gorgeous all lit up at night!
Love this backyard. If I knew how to swim I would surely put a pool in my back yard for now we have the kiddie pool which looks horrendous but the kids love it. I am looking to put a nice screened in porch in my back yard in the future so by next summer I can sit and relax.
Tee, I’m so jealous of your backyard!! I have days where I dream of the day I get to remove the swingset from our yard and place a nice sized pool in mine too. My son hates swinging so I’m not being evil. Haha! Enjoy all of your gorgeous spaces!!
How fun! You have a pool! It looks so pretty at night too!
