When we returned home from vacation several weeks ago, I was so happy to see that our outdoor lounge chairs had arrived. Perhaps we could pretend we’re back in Turk and Caicos in the comforts of our own backyard! That’s quite a bit of a stretch but with just a couple of weeks left of summer, I’m trying my best to carve out some outdoor relaxation while the weather permits.

I’ve wanted to purchase outdoor chaise loungers in our backyard ever since we had our inground pool installed several years ago. However, I didn’t rush to order since other outdoor furniture items were more pressing like our outdoor conversation and patio dining sets.
This summer, I knew our backyard was finally ready for some chaise loungers! After seeing the quality of the polypropylene resin materials that the Keter brand uses (ex: my new planters), I decided the same materials would work great for our outdoor lounge chairs. We all know how difficult it is to maintain furniture outside in the elements.
Here’s a look at our new lounge chairs:
The chairs have 4 adjustable backrest positions. No metal pieces in chairs = no rusting! I especially LOVE the fact that there was no assembly required for this product. You simply unfold the chairs, snap in the backrest panel and voila — you can start envisioning that it’s really the start of summer and not the tail end of it. 🙂
Another thing I love about these chairs is how they are ergonomically designed to fit our body’s contour. Here’s how they look laying flat. Storing them will be easier since the chairs are made stackable with collapsible legs and backrest.
Are you the type who sits out in the sun? If yes, your patio umbrella will likely be closed like below photo. 🙂
Unless I’m trying to dry off after swimming, I’m usually the “umbrella open” type of outdoor lounger. I get enough “sun time” as is, watching my daughters play softball during the spring and summer seasons!
This is the view I prefer when I’m lounging on our new chairs from Keter.
Okay, maybe it’s not that bad that we’re not in Turks and Caicos anymore. 😉
I hope that you’ve all had a wonderful summer with your loved ones. While summer is always too short, I’m always grateful that it’s the time of year when we get the most “family” time.
With my daughters returning back to school tomorrow, I look forward to getting back to my work/creative routine! But first … I may just lounge out back for a little “me time” before summer is officially over. May I suggest you lovely readers do the same? 🙂 Meet you back on the blog very soon!
Outdoor chaise chairs are the best. We’ve had ours for 9 years now and I think next summer is the year we need to start looking for replacements. Where did you get that patio umbrella? I love it.
Thanks, Carole! I’m so glad we finally have chaise loungers by our pool. The patio umbrella is from Ballard Designs. The sunbrella fabric is wonderful!
Looks so relaxing! I’d love my backyard to look like that. I have similar loungers at home too 🙂
Thanks so much, Jess! I bet you love your loungers too 🙂
What a nice new addition to your yard! I love these. I need to replace my loungers in my yard. Next time I wouldn’t pick wrought iron ones! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Lynn!
